How Do I Get Started?

To sell real estate in the State of Colorado, you must obtain a real estate license from the Colorado Division of Real Estate. A prospective associate must complete:

• 48 Hours in Real Estate Law and Practice
• 48 Hours in Colorado Contracts and Regulations
• 8 Hours in Trust Accounts and Record Keeping
• 8 Hours in Current Legal Issues
• 24 Hours in Real Estate Closings
• 32 Hours in Practical Applications
• Pass entire broker exam
  

What Are The Initial Costs To Get Started?

• The pre-license costs vary from school to school but it is safe to assume that the initial pre-license investment will be between $800 and $1200.
• After obtaining your license, Bray Real Estate requires you to join a local board of Realtors, the Colorado Association of Real Estate and the National Association of Real Estate. Typically these fees and dues total approximately $345 plus $80 for Ethics.

Who Will Train Me After I Am Licensed?

At Bray Real Estate we feel that further training is essential to your success as sales associate. Once you have successfully passed the state exam you are ready to enter into "field training" at Bray Real Estate.

• Bray Real Estate’s FIELD TRAINING gives a newly licensed Sales Associate the ability to rapidly accelerate to a “fully proactive Associate”. The program pairs an existing Realtor (mentor) with a newly licensed sale associate. The mentor provides continuous reinforcement both in the field and in office, to build the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for developing a successful sales career in real estate. The FIELD TRAINING is based on the company’s conviction that success results from building a knowledge base through teaching and self-study and developing appropriate skills and attitude through field practice, continual coaching and counseling.
• We also have monthly training classes on various topics and encourage all associates to participate.
